Under The Bed Diaper Storage

 

Thankfully, thrifted baskets and trays are unlimited in supply, size, shape and possibility.

And spray paint is my BFF.

With these two items, I was able to move out the changing table/dresser in TA's room to make way for this lovely old dresser borrowed from my sister as posted here. (She has a houseful of boys.)

So pretty! I'm loving the graceful curves!

This dresser uses space vertically, which is valuable in this small room. It also goes so nicely with her "new" big girl bed that I made the large bolster pillow for, which was highlighted in the post Blanket Turned Bolster Pillow.

But, the little girl who sleeps in this bedroom is not yet using the potty consistently, or at night. So, a place to change her and handily store the nighttime diapers is still necessary.

Here I have used three bamboo trays that I purchased for 60 cents each and spray painted.

Since, this is a big girl twin size bed, and she is still little, there is plenty of room at the end of the bed to designate as a changing area while the potty usage improves. So, I decided to move the changing pad there, and tuck the baskets just under the end of the bed.

 The three trays neatly hold pull-ups, diapers and small baby blankets. I use the little flannel blankets to layer over the changing pad, so we always have a fresh one under TA's cutie patootie wootie. They are much easier to toss in the wash than tugging the cover off the changing pad itself (or, worse putting it back on again).
